A melange – I’ve never used this word, am not fully sure of the ins and outs of its meaning, but this presents itself as the right word somehow – of sliced potatoes dry-fried crunchy brown, diced sausages, scissored bacon, oven onions, grated garlic, carrots cut into batons, boiled, baked, now bendy soft, all stirred in a sticky tomato paste, then half eaten, stored in the fridge for a day and microwaved in its takeaway container and dropped into a hollowed out toasted pitta. Almost sickly sweet, the hours and the heat having brought the sugars out of everything, and with each bite I knew it would send me into an afternoon stupor.

As for names:

* Diced Sliced Zeitgeist

* Spud Snooze Stirabout

* Pitta Bitta Sleepa Sounda

* Pigs In Blankets (Before Blankets)
